Jon Friesen (jfriesen@sedgwick.gov) serves as the Major – Education Manager for the Wichita/Sedgwick County EMS System Office of the Medical Director. In addition to his full time position with Sedgwick County, Jon is a principle in the Friesen Group where he works with organizations and individuals in organizational development, curriculum development and personal growth capacities. Prior positions were in the training division of Sedgwick County EMS, as the coordinator for emergency medical services education at Hutchinson Community College and chair of thepublic safety department, Deputy Chief of the Newton (KS) Ambulance Department and as a volunteer EMT and Paramedic with Hesston (KS) EMS. Jon is a Kansas certified paramedic and instructor/coordinator. A lifelong learner himself, he has been involved in EMS educational work since 1982.
